Town of Lexington Hosts Groundbreaking for Project Ice House Amphitheater

The Town of Lexington will host a groundbreaking for the Project Ice House Amphitheater on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 10:30pm at 101 W. Main St. (former Shirey’s on Main)

The 900-seat venue is slated to open in spring 2016 and will host various community events including concerts, creating the newest destination for residents and tourists alike to enjoy a night out on the town. Future development for Project Icehouse includes boutique retail and eateries, boosting the revitalization of downtown Lexington.

This is the newest project under the Vision Plan, which Council passed in May 2012, and will allow for connectivity in the downtown area through Lexington Square Park, Virginia Hylton Park, Lexington Municipal Complex, Palmetto Collegiate Institute and Project Ice House.
