(WLTX) – Lexington police are searching for a man who they say forged a stolen check and tried to use it at a credit union.
Officers say Johnnie Wayne Martin III will be charged with forgery and bank fraud.
Back on March 23, police say he forged a check that he took from the outgoing mail of someone in Lexington County. They say he then presented it at the SC State Credit Union in Lexington.
Investigators say Martin has been arrested for the same type of offense before.
