(WACH) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department are investigating a break-in and burglary that took place Wednesday morning.
A man armed with a gun broke into a home on West Lake Drive and stole money and jewlery. A female resident was there at the time and described the suspect as an African-American male in his mid-20s.
She said he was between 5’10” and 6 feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds and had a scar on the right side of his face.
At the time of the crime he was wearing blue jeans, a brown, long-sleeve shirt and cargo boots.
The homeowner then said she saw the man drive off in a gray, Ford Taurus that was likely made in the early 2000s.
Sheriff Lewis McCarty asks that anyone with any information is urged to contact the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at 803-785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
