Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle on Friday identified a body found burned beyond recognition near the town of North as that of a West Columbia man missing since March 4.
Adam Berry, 22, was found March 7 in a car in a rural part of the county. The car also was burned badly.
Berry was last reportedly seen alive March 4 at a West Columbia motel. He was seen leaving the motel with another man, 25-year-old Michael Suller.
The cause of Berry’s death has not yet been determined. West Columbia police and the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office are investigating and ask anyone with information about Berry to contact Crimestoppers.
